What will it take to shake the human race so forcefully that we finally see beyond our egoic wants and perceived needs and realize that we’re already complete, whole, and surrounded by abundance?
Regardless of wealth, health, or status, we all live on a planet that continues to sustain us despite our ignorance, negligence, and disrespect. And we all — EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US —have within us the boundless love, joy, and peace of the universal intelligence that created us.
The war in Ukraine and all other suffering humans inflict on each other, is an outward expression of the disconnection from who we really are.
“You bear God within you, poor wretch, and know it not.”

When we’re disconnected from our core Self, inner Being, or God within us, our egos run our lives and relationships and govern our world. And every individual, relationship, family, organization, or country that is run by ego is dysfunctional. As the spiritual teacher, Byron Katie, once said, “Egos don’t love; they want something.”
Peace and wanting cannot ever coincide. Can you see this? We all must choose one or the other. We can wake up to the peace, love, and joy that’s our inherent nature, or remain controlled by our egos. Yes, controlled.
When we react instead of act, live in a state of unease and fear, resent, judge, blame, obsess, hate, envy, or seek attention, admiration, and love from others we are being controlled by our ego.
No one is incapable of waking up
We stop hurting each other when we first stop hurting ourselves. Being disconnected from who we really are hurts. It’s lonely, fearful, and hopeless. But we are not condemned to this fate. We have a choice. But we have to seek it.
If you want to end the suffering in the world, just start right now and end the suffering within yourself. You are not your thoughts, your current life situation, or your past. You’re much, much more than that. You are pure love itself disguised in a human body.
Seek and you will find. It happened to me and it can happen to you.
